Would prefer to do a face to face drop off of 3rd generation SAA Colts to gunsmith
Broken in now and may want to have a look at action and smooth out as well as slight tension work on hammer spring ,etc
    Any help or direction appreciated

    Welcome to the forum!

If you're not dead set on a face to face gunsmith Jim Martin on the forum is one of the best will do a fantastic job on your SAA. He is in Arizona so you'd have to send it to him.

I might consider attending a local gun show. Someone there, if they can't help you directly, will know who can.

    Do it yourself.

    DIY - SAA Action Job

If you do send your gun somewhere, it is usually cheaper to use an FFL that way USPS can be taken advantage of. Any other carrier forces next day, or 2nd day air. I know LeverActionBill does action jobs and his prices were fantastic.

I would do it for you, but I am not a professional and wouldn't do it for anyone other than a close friend. The days of liability.

I'm in Ohio and well qualified for action work. 40 miles south of Cleveland.
