I am selling a very nice example of a WWII Colt 1911A1 made in 1945, purchased from the widow of a recently deceased WWII veteran. Serial Number (2,297,XXX) places it in the very last order of 1911A1’s produced for the military in 1945. Colt did not manufacture any more 1911A1’s for the military after this order. The finish appears original and is in very good condition. There is minimal wear on the innards. Slide and frame wear indicate very little use. Included is one original Colt magazine and the holster that the gun came with, a WWII Boyt Flap Holster made in 1944 in excellent condition. All parts appear to be original to the gun with minimal wear. This gun has had very good care. The bore is bright and shiny with minimal wear and the action is smooth with an exceptionally nice trigger. I would prefer a FTF sale in the North Texas area but will ship to your FFL at your expense. $2200 firm with holster. $2100 without holster.
