It is drilled and tapped for a scope mount, but I have no idea whether or not this is factory as I am the second owner. I'll call Colt customer service tomorrow and see if they can tell me. It doesn't appear that the scope mount has ever been installed.

Deadduck, do you have the cardboard sleave? I so you can determine if it is factory drilled and tapped from the model number. A factory drilled and tapped piece will have the model number ending with "DAT" (drilled and tapped).

Thanks for the reply. No, I don't have the cardboard sleeve. I sure wish I did. I'm going to call Colt's Customer service tomorrow to see what they can tell me.

If you can add a picture of the top strap, it will be pretty easy to tell if it is factory or not....If your call to Colt doesn't give you the satisfaction you are looking for.
Hi Deadduck, Yeah, definately not factory drilled and tapped. Afraid you are going to have to find a guy who wants nothing more than a shooter. Hope you are able to sell it without dropping the price a mile.
She's gonna make a great shooter for ya!
Good Luck
