Civilian Model 1917 one of about 1,000 made

    gunbroker 008.jpggunbroker 026.jpggunbroker 033.jpg
Colt Model 1917 serial number 336305 this has been rated as scarce.
This is a Civilian / Commercial model built after Colt was no longer supplying the US Military. These were built without the lanyard loop and US Govt markings. Only about 1,000 produced, most with checkered grips, this one has the early government smooth grips probably used until Colt ran out of inventory.
$1500 will take offers.(8.25% tax added for texas residents)
    more pictures available.
    Thank you for looking

I'm interested. Would it be possible for you to send close up pictures of the barrel markings to the e-mail in my profile?
Are there any flaws to describe?
I will be away most of the day and will be unable to respond until late this evening.
    Thanks,
    Bill

I could not find your email address, please email me so I can send pictures
    firearms@sheltonarms.com
As for flaws, there are some light scratches and slight holster wear but nothing I would consider unusual or degrading. Pictures will help explain. One little ding in the front sight also has picture.
Will be happy to answer any questions.
    Thank you.

Received the Colt 1917 yesterday and I am very pleased with the gun. Original finish, condition actually better than described, very well packaged, and shipped quickly. The Sheltons are very pleasant folks to deal with and responded quickly and accurately, to all my numerous nit picking questions.
