WTS: WW2 Colt Commando Parts From Orginal 2 inch Commando!! and unknown grip

Hello Everyone, I bought these parts years ago when I had my WW2 Colt Commando 2 inch w/Colt Letter dated 1943. These parts came from an orginal (Not later commando replaced with 2 inch barrel) Colt 2 inch Commando...notice the Colt s PT PA MFG CO Hartford Conn USA On the later versions they cut down 4 inch barrels to make 2 inch barrels (see note below). The hammer, barrel and grip screw (Posted lower in the thread) are from the same gun. All finish matches.

    Colt Commando Barrel: SOLD
    Colt Commando Hammer: $79 shipped
Colt Commando Grip Screw: $5.00 shipped

The original two-inch barreled Commandos may be identified by their round front sight and the long company name marking with a "CONN" (rather than "CT") abbreviation for Connecticut. However, most of the two-inch Commandos encountered today did not leave the factory with short barrels. More than 12,000 four-inch Commandos were converted to the shorter barrel after the war. These revolvers have the later ramp sight and either the short company name ("COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.") from the early postwar period, or the long name ("COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT U.S.A.") using "CT" for Connecticut. It is interesting to note that the "CT"-style long name marking was used for all of the four-inch revolvers, the standard barrel length for the Commando.
