(SOLD)For Sale or Trade is for a Colt Diamondback .38 SPL Cal 6-Shot Blue 21/2 Inch Barrel Revolver Asking $600 OBO/TRADE Plus Shipping & Insurance. This is a double/single action revolver that has matching numbers featuring a ramp fixed front sight, a square-notched adjustable rear sight and colt factory wooden grips with colt silver medallions having a serial number of N07XXX that makes it manufactured in 1977 according to proofhouse.com. Has the markings of "COLT'S PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CONN USA" on the right side of the barrel, has the markings "DIAMONDBACK 38 SPECIAL CTG." denoting the caliber on the left side of the barrel, the matching serial number "N07XXX" are on the inside of the frame when you open the cylinder and on the inside of the crane recess when you open the cylinder. This revolver mechanics works fine in both single and double action locking up tight with a small amount of play being in good cosmetic condition with the finish having turned to a nice even patina in most areas (as I am no expert in the grading of these just going on my opinion that defers from person to person) with the metal surface having normal handling marks, minor pitting and finish loss, the bore and cylinder chambers are in good condition with good lands, grooves and good rifling the entire length of the bore. The wooden grips are in good condition with normal handling marks with no visual breaks, cracks or repairs missing the ejector rod head cap/nut, but please see pics and ask questions if there is something we have not covered as we are not experts in these type of firearms. This would make a great shooter for the range, ccw gun or addition to your colt revolver collection to keep in your gun safe as these are becoming rare and harder to find in the short barrel configuration.

Mr Flowers, this 2.5 inch Diamondback arrived today, I had expected the cosmetics of this gun to be rough but I expected the gun to atleast in working mechanical condition. The screw on the right side of the guns frame will not tighten up and looks to be held in with super glue or epoxy. The gun has an issue with the cylinder being loose and the gun will not cycle, it hangs up. This gun has serious internal issues not mentioned in your add. I do not appreciate the fact you have sternly declinded my request to send this gun back based on these mechanical issues. I now own a 600.00 dollar gun I cannot use. I am not here to argue, name call or banter I am just stating facts. Please rethink your decision not accepting return and put yourself in my shoes. The revolver was described to the best of my ability in a lengthy description on the post with plenty of pics for viewing and was shipped to you according to this post and our agreement via pm's. As I explained in our many communications on this gun that all purchases I have made and items I have sold over the years were done so with a policy I pm'ed you about whether they were purchased brand new or purchased used. Anything that was overlooked whether pertaining to condtition, mechanics or ??? on this item was not done so on purpose and as stated in all of my posts that (I am no expert in the grading of these just going on my opinion that defers from person to person) so please see pics and ask questions if there is something we have not covered as we are not experts in these type of firearms. I am not here to argue, banter or name call as well I am just stating facts that will defer from person to person. Thanks so much K. Flowers

This seems like not as described to me. You don't have to be an expert to determine if a revolver "revolves". I hope you fellas can come to a fair resolution.
