    Where to buy??

I’m thinking my next SA purchase will likely be a Cimarron Model P (old model/BP frame) or the Cattleman old model/BP frame...yea I understand they’re essentially the same gun. I want a good platform for a project gun. Question is where to buy? New or used I’m looking for one in .45Colt w/ 7 1/2” barrel. Which vendors/importers do y’all Uberti fans prefer? Looked into Gunbroker and Dixie Gunworks thus far. P.S. really, really don’t want the newfangled “safety” firing pin.

Bryan from 3B Shooting Supply has taken care of me with Cimarron (imported) firearms. Of course, any dealer can order directly from Cimarron.

I agree regarding the new hammer. So far I've avoided one...

Wholesale Hunter has one on GB for $451 plus shipping. Then you would have to add FFL fee, so that would be about $480 to 500 otd.

Yea looks like I’d be at $450.00 out the door. After doing some shopping around online that seems like a pretty good deal. Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope I won’t be needing another $150.00 in parts to convert this thing back to the way God intended it...

That model P should be ready to go with all the inherent risks of Colt style fire control group!

i have the 5.5 inch 44 spl, installed a Wolff mainspring and it is sweet shooter.

Just checked out your thread on your new Model P Gator...good looking gun...and more importantly, it seems to put ‘em where you point it! This will be my first Italian SA purchase and I’ve got to say, based on what I’m seeing from the guns Uberti is rolling out these days, I’m feeling pretty good about it. I’ll keep y’all posted on my initial impressions.

I do believe you will be happy with the Model P. Looking forward to a range report.
