What is the relationship with all these companies. Who makes them? has this changed over the years? Do beretta make any single actions for them? I am confused !!!!

Cimarron and Taylor's are dealers that import and sell firearms.

Uberti is a manufacturer and part of the Beretta conglomerate.

Pietta is a manufacturer of firearms.

Uberti and Pietta are both made in Italy and are imported by Cimarron and others. Cimarron sells them under their brand. I personally prefer the Pietta because it still makes a gun with the tradional Colt 4-click action and without the new "safties" now being used on Ubertis. This is the Cimarron Frontier. It is made in Italy and imported and distributed by Cimarron. So you will find them under the Cimarron brand and other distributors. Confusing? Kinda.

This looks like the one I have. Its NIB, the model number is MP513. It has the two position safety base pin. Really nice smooth action and trigger pull. I am impressed with the quality. I had a guy that wanted to buy it, but neither of us knew about the safety and we could see the hammer was not going to hit the primer. No sale. I got on the net and figured that one out.

    thanks for the info

    Charlie
