    Colt Lightning 40-60-260 Shooting Gophers

    Whenever you get a rifle you need to get it out and shoot something with it. The problem with guns like this is you need to slug the bore, decide the right bullet diameter, cast those bullets, lube/size them and then see if they will shoot. If not, you start all over at the casting part.


    I did get this to shoot minute of gopher, but I will need to get a larger mould and see if I can't get it to perform better. It slugged at .408, I sized these bullets at .410, but i'm not sure the bullets are large enough out of the mould to bet the best .410 size I need...

    Good job! Thanks for sharing with us. Would love to see more pictures of your rifle. Not that we mind pictures of you, or critters, we just prefer guns......lol.
