Nothing? No ideas?
Hey y’all. Recently grabbed a used 6933 upper half. All the markings are correct (MPC bolt, C carrier, CMP barrel, down to the F marked front sight), but there’s no C proof on the receiver itself. I don’t wanna think I got taken, and I’ve noticed some weird stuff lately, like my brand new 6720 came with an unmarked carrier. Just wanted to make sure this isn’t major cause for alarm. Doesn’t make much sense in my mind to rip the upper and put all the valuable Colt parts in some no-name rig, but I guess I've seen stranger things. The guy I got it from said it came from a batch of LE trade ins Buds had for sale years ago. M4 marked up by the delta ring, T marks up up. What do y'all think? No forge mark at all? Has Colt ever done this for any reason that you know of, or do I have a Franken-upper?
Checked a fairly recent 6933, upper C marked + Cerro forge code
Colt snubbies rule.
Life's too short to carry an ugly firearm.
Guess I got hustled. Bunch of Colt parts and a mystery upper. Ha.
