Send it to Adco and they could shave the block that would allow you to use a F/A BCG

We have the older model pre ban Sporter Lightweight 7.62X39 CAL model R6830 that was bought brand new in 1993 when hey first came out.

Most other non Colt brands of carriers that are semi auto type will fit the lowers with the steel sear block, if you don't want to machine the top of the sear block.

If you want to use a full auto carrier then go ahead and have the sear block machined.

I have a spare Colt half moon bolt carrier group in new condition. Very little wear. The carrier has a "C" on it, and the bolt has "MPC" on it. Email me if interested. Don't mess with cutting off that sear block. Keep it stock. Also, you will need to find an upper
that has the big hole pivot pin feature.

    Awesome gesture, Utah !

Justin - I will sell you my 6920 upper in my photo above , if you are interested .
i just sold a pencil barreled upper last week to forum member .
i have multiple forum vouchers on transactions here if needed.

Utah’s BCG is more difficult to acquire , but I will give you a very good deal on my upper .

Post Script - Original poster MAY be long gone , never to return to Forum .
