I like your 1860, I have been looking for a decent one for a few months now. They seem all over the board in price.
Do you have an idea what one is worth these days.
You can send PM to [email protected] with your thoughts.
    Thank You.

Thanks for the kind words Jim. On Pate's book - I heard from the publisher (Mowbray Publishing) on Charles W. Pate's upcoming book..."...We don't have any date yet, however we do have the book and we will be publishing it. We are working on his Directory first, then the Colt 1840, I'd have to say maybe less than a year..." Will let you know when I hear something.

The Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver by Charles W. Pate - First placed on the market only six months before the start of the war, the Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver quickly became the preferred sidearm for both sides of the conflict. Details: Hardcover with Dustjacket, 8.5" x 11", 462 Pages, 900+ B&W Photos.

Just curious, but where are you finding all of these Model 1860's with Colt letters on the net?

Well, I use both BING and GOOGLE Search Engines and search on (with quotes): "1860 Army" I then go through each finding and read the descriptions. You would be shocked how many Armies are sold weekly on the net. When I find a Auction House - I then search on all that "Auction House" listings mentioning "1860 Army." I also search (closed and open) Auctions on GunBroker, GunAuction, GunsAmerica and ArmsList every few days. I also found a few forums that talk about percussion revolvers, etc. Yea, takes a ton of time but I normally do it for a few hours early in the morning when everyone is asleep. I also just search on "images" and that takes me back to a particular listing. I would say that about 5% of the listings I have found have letters attached. I contribute this all to my "not having a life!"
