1862 Pocket Navy Conv. and 1849 London Pocket

Good evening. I went to the gunshow today and saw these two beauties.

I know NOTHING about this vintage of firearm, but have growing interest in the mid to late 1900s firearms.

The percussion revolver is listed as a 1849 Pocket revolver. Upon research of the serial number I believe it is a London model. It has lost most of the finish and there is a little slop in the cylinder. It is tagged at $850

The other one intrigues me more. It just says "cartridge conversion." The finish, if original, looks spectacular for the age (I think?). I THINK it is an 1862 Pocket Navy conversion. It also says it is missing the handspring. It is listed at $675. That seems like a REALLY good price, especially for the condition. Is this a steal of the century or am I missing something?

Do I need to run back to the show tomorrow and get one of them?

    Any help is appreciated!

I am looking at the frame Pattent dates, and though blurry it says July 1871 and 1872.

Also, looked up the SN on the Colt database and it says there was a 1862 Pocket Police and Pocket Pistol of Navy made in 1861 with this SN: 3845.

The little Model 1849 is certainly in reasonable condition at that price. It would certainly be tagged higher at the gunshows near me. The little conversion appears in good shape on the outside. There's a lot to go wrong on the inside and a "spring" may not be the only problem. However, the price is attractive and perhaps worth a gamble. If I saw them at a show near me, I'd be making an offer for the pair at a bit less than the total for both, then adjust from there.
