    Gunsmithing the 1855 Root

Hey Folks, I recently bought an 1855 Root. The hand and hand spring are missing. I think I found a replacement part but I am a little Leery about attempting the repair.
Has anyone had experience in repairing this model?

I had no problem stripping and re-building mine... For problems you need a 1877 Lightning...

Thank you for your reply. Could you be a little more instructive? Do I have to disassemble the whole gun to replace the hand and spring?
