Just came this week. 1952 Det Spec in 32 Colt New Police. Not rare but it does add to my birth year collection. 9 models down and 5 to go. Has taken a couple of years so far but it gives me something really fun to do in my retirement.

I always liked this model. There is one for sale here in Switzerland for $ 2800, too much for me though.

I saw some with the rings painted, others like yours with black rings. I always wondered how come.

The Colt guys did a fantastic job that the aftermarket guys just do not equal. I would have liked the real gold dot front sight instead of brass. I have the night sight on back order as well.
I see the aftermarket polish jobs for almost as much as the factory originals.
Some of the GB auctions can be misleading if you don't read them carefully.

Nothing fancy or rare, nor owned by a celebrity, outlaw, or somebody famous. Just a clean 1930 OMT.

Nothing new so far this year, just waiting for a 2020 or an old Python to show up at one of my local dealers. I prefer to inspect a product in person before purchasing.

Wow, gorgeous. Your gun should be a reminder to anyone who hasn't owned a blued pre-war revolver...that they need to get one. They are just crazy beautiful.
