Hello all... I'm a new member here. Just picked these up in the last couple of weeks. I own & operate a firearms training school & have noticed a few D.S.'s, Cobras, etc. at the range, mainly when working with some elderly men & women. It helped remind me what great guns they are. They are much more "user-friendly" than the ultralight guns that many people bring out. As you would imagine I was thrilled to get ahold of these.
This one showed up yesterday. 3" version with the shrouded ejector rod.
My nickel Colt Detective with another shiny friend. Still working on my photography skills, so bear with me. Wish it were a little more clear, because this baby really pops.
Here is a very nice condition Detective Special that I was able to find at the recent Colt Collectors Show. It dates to 1936:
This was definitely a Holy Grail gun for me...
My 1967 Colt Detective Special. This classic and I have both been around for 47 years!
