    NYPD Fitz

I would consider an NYPD Fitz one of my top ten grail Colts, and tonight I was able to make it happen. Big thanks to Tom Kirkpatrick!

It will be joining my other two Fitz revolvers, another Detective and Official Police, both unfortunately without impressive pedigrees.

Thanks, but you lost me. What “other 9”? This was a one-gun shipment.

Ahhh ... I see. I don’t have a precise list, but I thought five was not enough. A few that I own which I would consider grail guns are Walker, Ainsworth Custer range SAA (have a few of those), low number M1911, National Match #1, pre-war Super Match, pre-war nickel Super, prototype Bantam, two USAF and new in box “civilian” Aircrewman. That’s off the top of my head, and I think I still have a couple empty spots before I get to 10. One that is conspicuously missing from my collection is a Paterson. I am still looking for the right combination of condition and $$$.

Forgot a couple of others I love for that list. My nickel sheriff ejectorless SAA and blued sheriff ejectorless Bisley. Maybe the list is longer than 10?

Kevin, the VP is on the right side where trigger guard meets frame. It is the same on my 1930 Official Police Fitz.

In my family the men have an annoying habit of living way past 90 or 100. That means I have another 40-50 years to have fun with my guns. And I never ended up having kids, so really wouldn’t know what to do with one. LOL

Where in Maryland are you? I am in VA, but my long-term girlfriend is in MD, so I end up crossing the state line several times a week. Now that I am also an FFL, I buy guns on both sides.
