I have used the custom shop to refurbish a python truck gun....it was pricey and probably some will say I was foolish to throw good money after bad. But like we say here my money, my gun, my choice. That 600 dollar polish is in line with the cost to have python refurbished......it was 1500 bucks.

IMHO the factory Bright Cobra has the nicest polish job you'll find on one.

Guess you should buy another lol

Ask Robert at patriot about his nickel services. When I last spoke to him 2 years or so ago he was doing nickel and gold plating as well.

I'm not as big on originality and collectibility as some here are; I think that's a beautiful gun and you certainly didn't waste your money on the refinish

Custom shop told me last week they are not accepting any more orders. They are currently a year behind and the guy is retiring as soon as current orders are complete.

They are still taking orders for engravings though.

It will be less expensive to buy a bright cobra, also it will be worth more money n the future. But I've been hunting for a bright cobra for a while now

I personally recommend Patriot Polishing. The KC on Robert’s web site is mine. Robert is former Marine and I would trust him with a blank check in advance.

Yeah, trust a vet, he answered my query quickly with a fair price about polishing a new Cobra. The "custom shop" always seemed to be trying too hard to get people to use them, with very pushy sales tactics. And didn't answer any tough questions asked on this forum either, after joining to just "shock and amaze" people with a few before-after pictures.
