I have to wonder what their rationale is for charging $100 more for the 38.

It must be the added etched panel "EL CHINGON".

    Best regards,
My opinion is free, and worth every penny of it.

A big thumbs down from me. It is the equivalent of modern semi autos with some stupid and garish "Tactical Model" or other juvenile markings on the slide. Or the Colt automatics with "El Jefe" or similar markings. It looks like something Uberti would do. I don't need any cutesy markings on my guns. I hope Standard Manufacturing isn't going to go down that road.

Terrible name. Should be the kiss of death for this model. What were they thinking.

I am amazed at some of the reactions in general about all models of the High Standard SA. I guess it will be like the U.S.F.A. SA's. No one will realize how good they are until they are gone. Then, it's to late.
