    Interesting Official Police - "D.A.S."

This gun dates to 1929. I'd be interested is knowing what "D.A.S." might have meant.

That appears to be a non factory marking. My best guess is someone’s initials.

It’d be a good candidate for a letter.

    Best,

Trying to decipher old butt markings can be tough unless someone just happens to know.

D.A.S. could be someone's initials, but I'd go with the marking for a private guard company. "D.A. Security Company"??
