They are a high on prices and sometimes they aren't thorough in looking them over. I dealt with them several years ago. Occasionally, I look at their site and wonder where their prices came from.
Just found this site: Collectors Firearms. Are they reputable in dealing with Colt SAA?

They are in the same city where I live. Been in and out of there to many times to count over the past 30 years. Probably the best gun store / museum in the country. I have seen every Colt made in there including several original Walkers over the years. There reputation is impeccable. The down side is price. They are always way over priced. I guess they feel they can be when you consider that they have so many guns that are darn near impossible to find. Once, sometimes twice a year they have a 10-15% off sale. it is truly a remarkable place.
I’d say the half dozen times I’ve been there the pricing does turn me off. However, they have a great selection. If you are looking for a higher end gun, chances are they have it or can get it. Great place to look. They had a few Turnbull 1911s I loved, and seeing one in person really puts the craftsmanship in perspective.
TLR - great store, expensive

Very reputable. Very high prices but amazing store with great selection.
One of my best deals ever came from Collectors Firearms. Model 12 28 gauge pigeon grade.

I visited the store quite a bit when I lived in Houston...never could afford anything but it truly was an amazing variety of unique guns.

I've only bought one gun from them, the transaction went smooth and they were easy to deal with. The Smith & Wesson I bought was priced at about the market.
Living a dream.
