    Colt combat cobra

A few months ago I purchased a colt combat python unfired in the box that a gentleman took and had finish changed and combat grips put on. He was into not shooting guns and doing custom work on them. The gentleman died last year and my local gun shop sold all his guns for the family I posted pictures on colt combat python on this forum with mixed reviews. I purchased the customized colt combat python for 3 thousand dollars. Now the family found this colt combat cobra new in the box and unfired and not customized. The found this gun under his bed it’s the lew Horton colt combat cobra that they made a thousand of I asked my ffl dealer how much for this one. Dealer said 3 thousand like the other colt combat Put it on layaway and picked it up yesterday. Now I have both combat colts. The python and cobra lew hortons a few photos of the colt combat cobra

Excellent guns. You have acquired two outstanding revolvers. I bought one of those Combat Cobras NIB when they came out, under $450 if I remember. Always thought it was one of best looking of the “modern” Colt revolvers (along with the post 1972 DS and the 1977/78 Police Positive). Of course, I did what you did with new revolvers back then......threw the box away and ordered a left handed ElPaso Saddlery holster.....shot it a lot, and took it on a lot of hunting, fishing and camping trips. I remember it going completely underwater, along with me, in a river on Kodiak Island....I still shoot it occasionally and it still looks perfect. Great memories.

The Combat Cobra is a great looking Colt snubby, and has that substantial King Cobra feel in your hand....
    An excellent collector snubby also.
    Colt snubbies rule.
Life's too short to carry an ugly firearm.
