What would be a price most here would consider reasonable for a 2.5" 22LR Diamondback?

For seller or buyer I think two grand , plus or minus three hundred - depending on minimal condition of good or very good and boxed...... Do I have one , NO .

Just my observation, but .22 caliber 2 1/2" won't bring the money of a "Bullet" .38 Diamondback. In general the .22's in most non-target Colt revolvers require a more specific buyer. Also, people buying the .22's actually want a longer barrel. Because the Snake guns have a magic name, however, the prices can be unexpected. If you like it, want it and can afford it, then the price is right.

Diamondback .22 caliber revolvers with the 2.5-inch barrel are not bought as shooters, but rather as collector items. The rare short barrel is THE desirable feature for a collector.

Ok all, I've been looking at Diamondback's in 22 LR to add to my collection. Here's the problem I'm having is to find one in nice condition for under $2000. They'er out there. I just have to keep hunting. But here's the real question, with Colt coming out with runs of Snake Guns, what do you all think the chances of Colt making a new Anaconda, and Diamondback's??? See you all at the NRA convention in Nashville...

Years ago I bought a NIB Colt Diamondback 22lr with a four inch barrel for the princely sum of $425, not a small amount of money in those days. I loved that gun for years and years but ended up in financial distress and sold it. I told the wife when I got back on my feet I was buying another and a few years after I sold my first one I bought another for $575 NIB at a gunshow. Great guns and it's one everyone should own. Ya'll can look for mine after I am gone, it's a keeper.
