They used the same Mags as the SMP.

    Some Crooked Shanghai Municipal Police
would take the bullets from their guns
and replace the live round with a spent brass casing
    then selling the bullet.

In a Colt factory magazine with standard viewing holes,
the magazine would appear loaded during inspection.

    The new viewing hole arrangement
would show the bullet head and primer
in the brass casing ensuring a good live bullet.

That's a mighty fine two-tone mag you got there!!!! A certain someone would really like to own that mag.

BMCP slide 132768 and a different variation magazine. Not to be a sharp shooter but Brunner indicates BMCP stands for British Municipal Council Police.

I have got to ask. Why are there so many orphan BMCP slides?

    Be Sharp always!
Prevents gross errors in rewriting history by faulty Memory.
    BMCP
    BMPC
    BCMP

    BMCP, British Municipal Council Police,
    Not British Maritime Police Commission
    as I remembered.

And as I say always check Brunner's
    sometimes I forget.

    Bruner's book I,
    pg-123,125 Fig-170.

You ain't alone, bro. I feel it is an honor to get schooled on here from time to time. Memory is one thing, but my issue usually involves an incorrect assumption. Like an original error that resides entirely on me.
I also like to check with Sam Lisker's ColtAutos.com when I try to get something straightened out.
