American Rifleman has the usual full page ad for it.
Not that I ain't soft for all the Colt hammerless', but I have a hard time with 'commemorative' (read: bleeped-up) firearms of any kind. It is a waste of an otherwise perfectly good gun.
Decent shootable ones are way more desireable and useful.
Fine pristine ones are highly sought after by the purists.
    Commemorative? Eeesh......not so much.
If you want a brand new, pre-wrecked gun, have at it, boys.
    This is my opinion only.
Y'all can flame on if you are of a mind to.

Seen the aforementioned "tribute" pistol in my current copy of American Rifleman magazine...

While GSP is my favorite WWII General...the firearm itself is not something I would want to own.

    ^^^^There! Ya see?
I was gonna point out the nickel and the (tastefully) engraved nickel as suitable for any purpose, shoot, collect, or carry.
The George S. Patton pistol has no purpose whatsoever, other to take a good firearm away from ordinary garden variety peasants like us. A tricked out make-believe replica pistol would be more sensible, and the genuine one could be in the hands of one of us.
....sounds a little selfish, doesn't it?

    Tough. Deal with it.
There will only ever be so many model Ms.

I am glad they made the revisions to the ball relief cut and grip emblem. Improved it 100% (not to say your engraved 1903 isn't good looking).
I wished they would make a standard military blue with the revisions. I would be interested in it.
But hey, if everyone liked the same thing, then it would be boring
