I finally found a threaded barrel for mine. I have wanted one for a long time. And new barrels are hard to come by anyway.

The US Constitution I swore to defend is nothing but well written fiction. There is nothing there that can be taken literally, even the name "Bill Of Rights" is a lie. How? For one thing, if you have to pass a background check in order to qualify, then it's a privilege, not a right, that's the defining difference. "Shall not be infringed" means gun laws are TREASON.

    +1...

While I could put up with an engraved model firearm...my senses prefer the unenhanced utilitarian Form / Fit / Function...as well as the Clean Uninterrupted Lines... of an unadorned firearm.

But...if I were to be adopted...and they were in the will...well....

...did I mention that I also own a Colt Model M1908 Pocket Hammerless !?

Yeah, I've seen a few around in similar condition, but they wanted $450 or more for them. I just stumbled across this one at a gun show.

    Ya think?
    Another stolen pistol.
Those are poppin' up around here lately.
I believe I will nominate this pistol for the deal of the (fill in the blank)________.
    I don't expect to see a $362 model M ever again.....

If you would post some pics of your crunched barrel, it would be appreciated.
After looking at your other thread, I went ahead and did the fix on my dented barrel.
Obviously these are the 'before images:

    And after:
It looked pretty bad to start with, but it smoothed up nice.
You can see how the thing was bashed to within a millimeter of its' life, and all cockeyed.
I have had that barrel just sittin' in a drawer of my tool chest for years.
I don't know what I was waitin' for.
I punched out the bore real good, and it really ain't as bad as I thought.
It is probably better than some that are in my pistols.

If you have a lathe it is pretty straight forward
I chucked it up and make a couple real light passes to get the business end even & flat across the bore.
Once it was all even, the areas that intruded into the bore were a lot clearer.
Then I made a few light cuts inside the edge of the muzzle until the defects were removed, and touched it up with a file, and then polished it with some sandpaper. It ain't perfect and it ain't a pro job, but the muzzle is flat across and the bore is even and concentric.

If you don't have a lathe, there are other ways to get after such things.
You can chuck the barrel in a drill press and use the head of a round head screw of sufficient diameter as a cutter for the inside of the muzzle. Some light work with a file will make the outside less objectionable. You might have to find a fairly hard screw, and you may have to get creative with a file to make it do what you want it to
Or you can go the other way around and secure the barrel in an appropriately padded vise, and chuck the screw head in a drill and just proceed carefully.
Keep in mind, these are strictly down-home bubbafications, and are not precise. If you eyeball it and don't go nuts with the tools, you will come to a point where the problem is either solved, or it is a hopeless wreck that cannot be made right.
You have to work with the problem you have, and understand that the solution is more of a salvage operation; the idea bein' that the thing was un-useable to begin with.
