Interesting, those grips look better than what I've seen on most US Armament pistols. Have they changed the checkering?

I get that warm fuzzy feelin' every time The Relic, The Grail of External Rust, makes an appearance.
It is a truly inspirational visage.
The image that includes the 2nd edition of Brunner is a very complimentary touch. It has the nebulous suggestion of an active and exciting life.
The adventures documented thus far all exceed what I imagined.
You all should be very happy with your efforts.

Not to nitpick, but so you know, your pistol was most likely made in 1944 and not 1942. Those shipped in in 1942 were below serial number 559000 and the switch over to parkerized finish didn't occur until October of 1944. The Colt site is invariably wrong on serial numbers and most auction houses seem to like to use the 1942 date also (even when told its wrong).

    Still a very nice U S property 1903.

I thought so. The US Armament grips aren't very appealing to me. They are better off with the old hard rubber grips if they can't do any better than their current Walnuts!
