The juice got knocked out here for a couple days. Early fall nor'easter. Always pounds the hell out of everything. Winter nor'easter just dumps a bleepload of snow.
So I have some catchin' up to do....
Alfa81: Your walnut grips are fine. The ivory looks good for Sunday best/BBQ purposes, but the wood is what it really wants.
PanteraMike: Black hard rubber can and occasionally does give up if it gets brittle.
The most fragile ones are the MOP. Too bad to have those come apart in your hand, but I am gonna shoot mine anyway. And then I'll put the good wood back on.

    or maybe:
(Wood courtesy 73shovel. He's got the good stuff.)
AshCrash:Glad to see you on here.

Thanks, Oberon! I do switch off to the wood, but I feel better after your (and others) input regarding the original wood. Man, does this pistol love to be shot! Lord knows what, or who, Grandpa was shooting at back in the Twenties, but he got some real use out of it. He was a pretty sharp guy, and if he had the dough, I’m sure he would have blinged this gun out, judging by his taste for good pocket watches and Platinum jewelry. I take it to the range often with my favorite 1970 DS revolver, and I’m finding myself always going back to the 1903. So much fun! Thanks, again!

    A odd looking Model N. 344795 1924
The 7 in barrel was required for CCW
in some European countries back in the day.
    This N1908 is British Proofed.

Watched John Wick 3 last night. Intense movie. One bright spot was Winston's (owner of the Continental Hotel) Colt hammerless. Looks engraved with ivory grips. As soon as I saw it, I yelled "That's a hammerless!" Maybe not actually engraved. Could have just been a painted squiggly line on the slide.
