    Marked M.P.D. 2-17, serial numbers 18684-19195.
    Brunners Book-1 pg-101.

You are not allowed more W.A.P. pistolas untill the rest of us get our first ones. Apparently the badges are easier to find then the pistols are. Nice find all away around the badges and the pistol.

Follow up to my earlier post of original factory deluxe checkered walnut grips. Note how thin these grips are compared to the later standard walnut grips.

So I picked up my first Colt 1903 hammerless today at a local pawn shop. The metal looks great with no pitting, gouges, rust or dings. The frame has most of the original bluing and looks pretty nice. The slide looks like hell and has a heavy uneven brown patina and holster wear. The big question is do I leave it as is or do I send it to Colt and have it refinished? The production date was 1921
    I'm only in this 1903 for $475
