    1903 Opportunity

Just had a guy send me pictures of a well worn 1903 hammerless and I’m not up to date on pricing it..... any thoughts? I’m always looking for a deal, just not sure what a good deal on this would be.

I'd insist on more and much better pictures before ever considering making an offer.

Going to see it in person, just trying to get a ballpark # on what appears to be a 60% finish on the gun

    I would guess about $5-600.

    Better pics would help.
Maybe one of the left side would give an idea of the vintage.
It looks better than 60% to me. That is, there is considerably more than 60% of the finish remaining on it, unless the lt side is down to the metal.
$500 would be fair, but be prepared to go a little more.

It's more like 75%, made a low offer and waiting to see what the guy says. He is looking to trade it towards a Viper and I'll just have to see how the numbers work out. I only have a few Colt revolvers and wouldn't mind getting rid of those and adding some non 1911 Colts to the auto rack.

Better pics... and some of the other side of the gun would help.

Notice both pics are of the same side...

Also date of manufacture... ( serial # on that other side too ) can help fix the estimated worth.

I would hazard a guess that most guys on here would like to get that thing into their hot little hands.
I really isn't bad, and if it can be had for a modest outlay, all the better.

A couple more pics..... it is a 1918 and the mag appears to have been sanded. He also added a .22 Frontier to the mix from 1959 with about 80% blue and good grips
