    Take a 1897 patent design that went an entire century as one of the most popular hideout pistols of all time. Wait until one shows up that is a little tired and needs some help, do a very few update modifications, and voila!: a brand new defensive pistol that is as good or better than many of the newly manufactured ones. Just goes to show ya......

    I have one that was done back before the Novak sight was available so it has a clunky rear sight. The rest of the work, especially the thumb safety, is great.

    I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but around late 2010 there was a podcast done by Eric Shelton called "The Handgun Podcast". He did a raffle and the prize was a 1903 Colt Pocket Model that was sent to Robar for a customize and refinish... It sported Novak sights and I believe it had checkering on the front strap. Don't remember who won it....
