I was thrilled to find some magazines at CDNN for my Government .380. Haven’t seen them available in quite a while. Not bad @ $35 plus shipping for the two.

I use the Colt .380 Govt 7rd mags in my Mustang. Your pinky finger fit over the extended mag perfectly.

I had a Pocketlite but the sights were pretty useless, happier with my G42.

My blued Colt .380 is fun, mostly use at 25 yard range with 95 grain ammo. Win 380 service grade is flat point which makes nice holes in paper targets; leaves big spot on steel. My gun won't extract Aguila ammo or cases though. I've also had Novaks put their LoMount Carry 380 tritium dot sights on it. Replaced the plastic recoil spring guide with a metal one from Jack First.

I wanted a small Colt. I bought a stainless Mustang Pocketlite 380 in 2013 NIB for $715. I figured that stainless would hold up better for everyday use. I wanted a small EDC that I could just stick in my pocket and not bother with strapping on a holster for quick trips.

The Pocketlite had terrible feed/ejection problems (with at least 6 different ammo types). I was working out-of-state at the time, so I basically put it in the safe and forgot about it. In 2019 I sent a letter to Colt complaining about the feed/eject issues with my gun. They had me send it in for inspection.

Final result? Colt repaired the Pocketlite for FREE - even though I had let their 5 YEAR warranty lapse. The pistol now feeds everything I put in it. I can't say enough good things about Colt Customer Service. They had NO responsibility to fix it for free and yet they did. I actually have no idea exactly what they did to make it work, but I really don't care - it works!

Now that I'm retired, that little pistol goes everywhere with me and I love it!

I have the exact same problem with Aguila ammo in my Colt 380. It seems to handle everything else though.

I bought my pocketlite last year and it has been great. I also carry it everywhere I go in my DeSantis pocket holster. I haven't found a round that won't work in it. My concealed carry round is Buffalo Bore's +P JHP. It ramps velocity for 8xx fps up to 1175 fps. It's one of the few .380 rounds that pass the FBI ballistic gel test.

I have wondered about using +P ammo in my stainless pocketlite. I have not seen a discussion about the pressure developed with +P and I've been reluctant to experiment. Are you aware of any reliable info about using +P in a Colt Mustang Pocketlite? Thanks.
