It is not rare or important but I always wanted one.
Today I picked up a Colt Defender in 9mm. Not a big deal anywhere in America but California.
It is not on the approved list so it was never sold as a new gun in CA. I bought it used (and in pristine condition) from a gent. He had it because his buddy was moving back to CA. and this Gent asked him to buy one and when he got to CA. They went to a gun shop and did the paperwork to legally transfer it.
That or having your child or parent send you one is the only way to get a non approved gun into the State.
It ain't easy being a Colt collector in this State.
So now it goes in my Colt 1911 9mm rack. Until range day.
