    Adding a 9mm

Outside of my 1911ís I am looking at adding a 9mm however Iím not sure if I want a 1911 or a BHP. I like both and Iím sure I will end up with both at some point but which one do I buy first? I currently have a Blue Label Glock 17.

I'd go with the BHP first if you have other 1911s.

I'm the blasphemer, here. I don't like the BHP and never have. Mind you, I know it is a fine gun, I just can't shoot 'em for [email protected]&%.
A few years ago I got a Colt LW Commander in 9mm. If you like the 1911-pattern guns, I think you would like this gun. Soft shooter, as accurate as you'd expect. Mine is one of my carry guns, and I like to just plink with it, too.

Browning High Power is no longer made so I would buy it first. Colt makes a great 1911 in 9mm and looks like production is still going. Good luck.

BHP first. I know some Glock fanboys will think otherwise but the High Power is the classic 9mm pistol. It has pedigree, history, quality of manufacture, classic design and performance going for it.

    I gotta agree Mr. Whiplash.

While it may not be "perfection" the High Power is the one that that I prefer.

I like my Glock but I prefer a solid metal gun, Iím just not a huge fan of polymer frames.

True confessions here. The reason I acquired the 2nd generation Metropolitan Police of Washington D. C. Glock 17 was so I could better hate on the breed.

    And, I do.

You can judge all the other 9mms in comparison to the Browning High Power.
Naturally, you will need a Browning to do that.
