I wonder if I paid his shop a visit if he'd let me take a skinny-dip in his Fountain of Youth. I sure could use it.

Do the slide markings look thin?
Hard to tell due to the creative photography

I see the spirit moved the bidding (so to speak)

    Check this out:

Same bidder (ForceRecon92) who paid $2225 for this $600 Government .380 also bought the gun (the first time) in this thread. Coincidence? I think not...

The left side of slide, top line does look weak to me too.
The "MFG" is almost completely wiped out.

I had one very close in S/N (7 away), the rollmark on that one is a little deeper on the left (front) and fades a little toward the right but still very legible.

Now we have some new information. We know where gunsrc is dumping his bogus sales, we have a new shill bidder AND we have a name, R C as in gunsRC, along with a phone number. The owners of GI are very protective of their reputation. I bet they would like to know what's going on.

When the gun is won by ForceRecon92 then shortly thereafter listed on GI by R C (gunsRC), I think the cat's outta the bag.
