    Remington Rand Lend lease 1911-A1

What would be the correct magazine for this gun. It is a post 1955 return since it lacks all the not English Made markings. The gun looks to be all original with a bright finished feed ramp. It currently has a Magazine with too much wear and a R on top of the floorplate.

The M. S. Little company with it's sub-contractors, the Risdon Mfg. Co. and Scovill Mfg. Co. were the prime magazine suppliers throughout the war. The General Shaver Co. produced field replacement magazines, and at the very end of production some of the General Shaver magazines were used in Remington Rand production.

In your Remington Rand, April/May 1944 production, an L, S, or R marked magazine would be correct.

Thanks, I found a matching condition parkerized S marked magazine in my drawer of mags. I also have a R and L which are blued. Would the magazine originally have been blued or parkerized?

Mags (and barrels) were blued/Dulite originally. Parkerized mags/barrels are refinished.
