    John & Matt Fugate (members here) have some really nice Colts!

    But I have no idea what use this will be to Buster the Beagle, he has no opposable thumbs to shoot a Colt Woodsman.

    Well now for the rest of the story......

    Right after the auction ends a good friend texts me this very auction so I can see his new acquisition.....

    I now know who Barney the Beagle is......I felt bad telling him I ran him up....RR

    I thought that was reasonable as well. The engraving looks Germanic and may have been done for a GI in Germany in the 1950s. HEY, maybe it was for ELVIS!

    I have a picture of me holding one of ELVIS's guns....could have bought it for 20% of what it sold for at RIA 6 months later....

    That was my exact thought when I looked at it. That oak leaf motif is common in German engraving. It looks like the person who did it knew what he was doing. Nice gun.
    The reason I carry a .45 is, Colt Don't make a .46
