Question Trigger styles for third model Woodsman Sport

After surfing colt22.com and also searching this forum [just... look... at... the... gun porn!!!] I am still in the dark over trigger styles. My '63 produced Woodsman Sport third model has a thin, unserrated trigger. I am not going to add anything requiring machining [or quaintly put, butchery] to this Woodsman... Can I use a match trigger?

I did look at a Flaig / Ace trigger shoe [#23, IIRC], but this Woodsman does spend time in a holster, and having a wide trigger shoe may not be worth the hassle...

First and foremost all Woodsman Series of Pistols have hand honed internal (Trigger, Trigger Bar, Sear & Hammer)components. As such a Trigger from one example, while it will fit into a given frame, the performance may be very less than desirable in its function and may actually not function at all.
When one studies the various manual parts numbers of the various models you quickly learn that, for instance, the Trigger is common for all 3rd Series models (part #51479). So unless you acquire a factory new Trigger that has not been previously honed, no advantage is gained and in real terms performance can diminish. Again, because each component is hand fitted such swapping of parts is not recommended without the proper knowledge and parts inventory.

I invite you to contact me via the telephone for a productive Woodsman conversation. Email address is below where I will answer with my number.

    Regards,
    Tom

I do appreciate the insight into the various Woodsman facets, I really do. Most of my experiences with guns do not include pistols...

Trying to learn what can be done without butchery, and what "mods" are possible, and which "mods" are worth the time and effort. Is the Colt Woodsman Pocket Guide in-depth enough to cover parts interchange between models?
