I was looking at this but I had some concerns the biggest being the serial number stamping. What does the forum think?

Unbelievable how bad these pictures are.
You'd think if a company was in the business of selling things they’d be capable of taking a picture.
AND be smart enough to put a picture of those extra items (boxes, mags, paperwork) that can make something sell for a lot more money.

The numbers look spaced to far apart to me. Run Forrest Run!

I see nothing wrong with the serial number. However, this gun was sold by Rock Island Auction in 2014 and was advertised as a refinished gun.

The internet and keeping good records of the items you are interested in sure does help keep up with these guns. It's amazing how a guy advertised a gun in one of his previous auctions as "professionally refinished" and a few years later he is at a gun show with the same gun (serial number checked) and he is promising everyone it's a totally original piece. You see that happen a few times through the years and you start paying close attention. The waters have sharks and snakes in them for sure!

To me the numbers look legit but the color looks wrong but it may just be the image.

The 1 at the first of the serial number is bigger and deeper than the other 1 and that was my biggest concern.

Tom, I don't think that's a problem. The stamp may have been angled slightly to the left when applied.
