Pictures of a few Colt Automatics with Fireblue and High polish finish

The early high polish pistols are really fun to photograph. The look of the finish and fire blue parts changes with every angle.
These three pistols were all made in the 1910-1912 timeframe.

Outstanding photography. You've managed to capture the beauty of the early finish and that is NOT an easy thing to do for most of us.

I'd love to know your setup.

All my photos are taken outside from my covered porch on overcast days.

It's important to remember that what you see, before you take the image, is what you get. Mike will tell you that multiple guns are much more difficult to image and show what you're looking for on each gun.

One gun at a time is a lot easier for sure.
