Where to get mammoth grips cheaper than $400

I’ve looked hi and low, I’m behind enemy lines in Massachusetts. Not exactly the gun capital of America. After seeing some pics of Mammoth grips I NEED them. I also blame the forum, I didn’t even know they were a thing until I started reading and seeing some beauts on here...

Wooly Mammoth’s are not exactly in great numbers right now...You just have to shop...As far as Blaming the Forum, That’s probably an accurate statement considering we have some of the Best Enablers on the internet...Good Luck in your search.

That may change before long. It worked out well in the movies, so who knows?

Check with Charles Turnage at: Fine Turnage Productions . Many custom knife makers get their mammoth (and other handle material) from him. My last set of 1911 stocks came from him...

Previously posted; but here's a photo of the knife by Jerry Hossom and the end cut mammoth ivory scales; both supplied by Charles Turnage!

Several members speak highly of this site and maker. Seems like a straight up guy that they talk about.
    Not $400 but real close.

I've dealt with both Charles Turnage and Gene Beal with no problems. If you want Mammoth stocks and they're $400.00....BUY THEM. It's a finite resource and with Elephant ivory out of the equation I don't see prices coming down.

I like Gene because he’s here in Florida and I can still buy Elephant Ivory from him.
Has a nice set of 1911 grips on his site now. However I kinda like them more white and uniform. The set he has now has some striations in them. Missed the last set he had which were more to my liking.

Aren't Wooly Mammoths on the endangered species list? Or am I thinking it's already too late for that? Musta been due to climate change.
