1902 Phillipine Revolver help
I purchased this revolver from Cowans last year. It was a gunsmith special. I got what I though was a pretty good deal-$500 for a decent looking nickel or chrome plated revolver. The bore and cylinder are very good. I am a retired mechanic and up until now have been able to do all of my own repairs on my firearms. This revolver may be missing parts-possibly a spring or 2, I am just not sure-the action seems to be a little different on this. Are there any diagrams available for this gun? I have a lot of old Shooter's Bibles from the early 1940's through modern day. They usually have exploded diagrams that are pretty close the rest of my guns. I also have some colt books, but maybe not the correct ones? I will try to upload pictures. This is my first time on this site. I did try to find a gunsmith in our area. I live in Omaha, Ne. and they all closed up within the last 3 years. All help and advice is welcome. Thanks, Tracy.
Welcome to the Forum. RevoReno (Sal Lanara) is a forum member who specializes in gunsmith/restoration services on the Model 1878-type Colts. I believe member LeverActionBill (Bill Fuchs) also works on these.
