Bianchi Shadow holster for my ancient Cobra

When I bought this 1952 Cobra some years ago there was this lefty Bianchi "Shadow" holster in the case but not near the gun. I asked if they'd throw it in and they did. What an excellent holster it is even if it isn't contemporary to the 50s. I can see the imprint of an ejector shroud both inside and outside so this gun carried a later Cobra a lot.

That vintage of Shadow holster, with just the two slots, is my favorite pancake.

Well, actually, it was molded to the shrouded ejector rod :-).

"I can see the imprint of an ejector shroud both inside and outside so this gun carried a later Cobra a lot."

Seeing it brings back memories of Frank Boyer and I, who was my assistant then, tag-teaming the design then build of each prototype. I'd do the pattern work, he'd build the prototype, I'd review it and change the pattern; repeat for every size. It was kinda fun :-). Frank went on to be JB's man inside the Western Museum and I had the good fortune to meet up with Frank at the VA hospital in Denver before he reached the end of his trail. I 'speak' to him often in my workshop and he's guided some good fortune in there for me.
