    Colt Accuracy, .22, .38 and ???

I am kind of an accuracy nut when it comes to my handguns and I have acquired a couple of Colts that fit the bill, Python Target and Match Target Woodsman. I think there is a third one that is needed in this collection and probably needs to be a .45. I would like to ask the experts on this forum on what Colt would fit the bill?

I don’t know what your next purchase should be but you definitely hit a home run with these two. I am adding them to my wish list. Thanks for sharing.

In a factory .45 it'd be the Colt Gold Cup National Match.

Of the Gold Cup's, what was the best series?

    This one looks pretty good:

70 series and pre 70 series are right nice. But the one in the auction is in the wrong box.

If you want another brass flinger I'd vote for a 45 ACP gold cup or government model 1911 series 70 or pre-series 70.

If you want another wheel gun I'd say you'd need a 45 Colt Single Action Army. Both would make a nice addition and round out the set nicely.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I have a SAA, so it seems the .45 is the Gold Cup obvious choice. Does the Gold cup come out of the Custom Shop?
