    Randall question ?

Looking for a little info from some of you sages of the 1911 persuasion.

I've got a new/bare Randall small fame ( Curt Lemay version), an was wondering what the heck fits it ?

Not wanting to do the T&E (trial and error) build, does it take a 6 rd mag ? will Commander grips fit ? What top end works best (Commander or ? )

    An help appreciated, Thanks.

The lemay was commander size with 4 1/4 barrel and took 7 round magazines. Didn't know there were any bare frames out there unless somebody dismantled one or snuck it out of the factory.

Didn't even think about that, the slide release, ejector, and magazine release would be on the opposite side.

This is the Lemay. a commander clip fits the well, it's a RH model, has the squared-off trigger guard.

There was about 320 units built at factory, and about 255 ser#'d frames that were not , sold to outside builders...... or so the story goes.

Also, the main spring housing is shorter than a std 1911.....
