Are there still any .40 caliber pistol fans out there?

Recently, I found a huge “close out “ sale online for the Kahr CT 40. Various dealers had batches of them. I searched around a found a seller that had 30+ @ $217 each NIB. Mine is an awesome shooter!!

So, I am back in the .40 caliber game.

Post pics of your .40 pistol of any make/model!!

    Best,
    Charles

My only .40 caliber semiauto is this Colt Z40 DAO, NIB. This one hasn't been fired but I did shoot its mate a good deal before it was sold. Handling was smooth as butter, and the DAO trigger was exceptional. Very accurate. And kinda fun to let folks know what it is. MOST have never seen one. This one won't be shot as it is on the potential cull board toward a righteous 1st gen SAA 1899 and earlier.

For that price, and the reviewed quality of the pistol i would have bought it too. Congrats on a sweet deal. I have a G27 and BHP in .40. Carried the 27 on and off for years. In march switched to a G33. FBI and lots of PDs use it.

    S&W Model 4006

I was a subscriber to Guns & Ammo magazine in the late 80's when they did a story on the "New" .40 S&W cartridge and the pistol that was designed to shoot it. Of course I had to have one and ordered the pistol and waited several months to get it. I still have it and shoot it occasionally.

I bought a Sig P229 in .357 Sig when it first came out. Several years later, I purchased a .40 S&W barrel for the pistol and now switch back and forth between the two. I like both calibers a lot.

I bought into the 40 nut job craze in 1991. I liked the gun, an Astra M70 in lusterless nickel, 1911 configuration, Commander sized. I quickly found that the gun was a superb piece; just as quickly I found that I very much disliked the 40 S&W cartridge, factory or hand loaded. Traded it for a Ruby Mountain knife and have been happier ever since. Just MHO!!
