SnidelyWhiplash is correct about it being a entry into the military trials. But this one is a 45acp. I read they made a few in 45acp then switch to 9mm for submission to the military. Note: I would be satisfied with a 9mm though.

Ya'know, there are pistols listed in this thread that I've never even heard of... i.e. the Camp Perry Had to look that one up.

My list of "wants" is surely quite pedestrian...

I'd like the new Gold Cup Trophy in 9mm
    and an early National Match.
    and a Shooting Master.
    ... I still don't have a SAA.

Blashemy maybe, but I've got my eye on a S&W K38 Masterpiece here locally.

Well, that's an easy one for me. My "Holy Grail" would be a "good" to "excellent" condition Custer Battlefield Colt Single Action Army.

If anyone has an extra one of these lying around, I'd appreciate a call, or leave a message here when you get a minute.

    Thanks,

    Bud

I would be more than delighted, if I were to somehow come into the DOCUMENTED possession of the personal sidearm of Crazy Horse, (Thasunke Witko)! In reality of course, I am doubtful that will occur...
