This show percentage of residents by state that own gun. Alaska is the winner with 61.7% owning guns.

Alaska I believe, but some of these don't make much sense. Hawaii is 10th? Nebraska beat out by D.C., Mass and Illinois?

It is cBS. News.....reporting.
I don't know much but at least I know that much.
There is no possible way “they” know how many firearms we own. I like it that way.
Question is, how did they come up with those percentages? Sales records, 4473's filled out, background checks run, surveys, purchase permits, CCW holders? Either way, none of those are truly reflective of how many firearms are in each state, and how many are owned by whom.
Disregard-- I found it. The article is based on a survey from the scholarly journal "Injury Prevention," which was a nationwide survey in 2015 of 4000 people. So all those rankings are based on asking just four thousand people whether they owned a gun. Take that as you will.
And come on, the picture of Minnesota has two Hi Points? I mean, yeah there's the Thompson at top, but really, two Hi Points?

Just another bogus survey, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
I believe the people that make surveys make the results to their liking.
