This is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world...

A recent thread that included a photo of our Jim Martin and Clint Eastwood brought a predictable smattering of the iconic S&W N-frame but I know we have more!
Let's see your .44 Magnum S&Ws. Here's my four-screw along with a badge I fished out of a pond near a saw mill in San Francisco.

A 29 Classic, one of the best shooting guns I've ever owned.

Looking forward to this thread! Beautiful gun Rick! Mine has a bit more woods wear. I'll have to keep an eye out for that badge to add to my pieces and parts! I may or may not have been assigned a certain nickname years ago, for various reasons I won't go into on a public forum.

My 4" S&W 629-3, a great carry gun for the outdoors. I'm so happy with the .44Spl. load I developed, I don't even load .44 Magnum anymore, (though there's quite a stash of it in the shop).

    S&W Model 29-2

I have a couple. The 8 3/8" (1977) was the first new hand gun I ever purchased. The 4" (1972) came to me gently used a few years later. I still have both and shoot them frequently.
