Thanks everyone. Just happen to make it back again into town for the Sunday show of national gun day in Louisville. Took the gun there and was asking $350 and made it known it had a cracked left hinge. The Sunday show is a dead show with dealers packing up about noon to leave. Finally a dealer started dealing and when the smoke cleared, gave me $310 cash. I am only out parking $10 and entry fee $12.

So the seller offered $50 to make it right yesterday.

What would you guys do? Call him and say I’ll take the $50 ( when it’s all said and done after gas to drive my motorcycle to the show, I would be up $25 which is fine with me). Or tell him what really transpired?

I found absolutly NOTHING at the dead gun show.

If anything good came out of this, I know more than I ever knew about Remington derringers. It appears the only shooters are the very last ones made that were not cast.

Always go with your gut feeling...!!!

So, Take the $50 and remember the burn as a lesson learned.

I see it ended up exactly like I suggested in my prior post. All`s well that ends well. Personally I wouldn't squeeze the man for the extra fifty bucks. It wont change your life, will it?

An education sometimes is expensive, you got one cheap, and look at what you learned.
I would not have anything to do with that dealer if I were you, his $50 check would prob. bounce any way.

Since you ended up getting your money back for it, I say move on and forget about this jerk. I would not even waste my time contacting him again.

My 2 cents worth only. You came out much better than expected. I'd move on and be thankful for dealing at the show for the cash..
